Hisense fridges, chest freezers and washing machines are a common sight in South African homes. Over time, its appliances develop faults like all appliances do, and most of them are in replaceable parts: thermostats, relays, fans, defrost parts and seals in fridges and freezers, and pumps, valves, door locks and belts in washing machines.
We're an independent repair business, not a Hisense service centre. If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Hisense or the shop you bought it from first. Once it's out of warranty, the technician comes to you, finds the fault where the appliance stands, and tells you what the repair will cost before any work starts.
Which Hisense appliance needs fixing?
Hisense fridges and chest freezers
A fridge that has stopped cooling usually has a fan, a defrost fault, a thermostat or a start relay behind it. A chest freezer that runs but doesn't freeze may need a thermostat or a relay, or, if the gas has leaked out, a bigger repair. Chest freezers often live in garages, where heat and dust make them work harder, so keep space around them and the coils clean.
See fridge repairs and freezer repairs, or try our fridge not cooling checks first.
Hisense washing machines
Hisense front loaders and top loaders share the usual washing machine faults: a blocked pump filter, a failed drain pump, a door lock or lid switch, an inlet valve or a worn belt. Error codes on the display point the technician to the right part, so take a photo before you switch off. See washing machine repairs.
If the machine is new, check the manufacturer's warranty first.
No call-out fee when we repair it.If no repair is done, a R500 call-out applies. The technician finds the fault and explains the repair before any work starts, so you decide whether to go ahead.

Why is my Hisense fridge not getting cold?
Check the temperature setting first, then give the fridge space at the sides and back, clean the coils and test the door seal. On a model with a display, make sure a holiday or energy-saving mode isn't switched on. If it's still warm, a fan, a defrost fault or the compressor is likely: work through our fridge not cooling checks.
How do I reset my Hisense fridge?
Switch it off at the wall for about ten minutes, then on again, and check the temperature settings on the display. Most Hisense fridges have no separate reset button; the manual for your model explains any display reset. Give it a few hours to cool. If it stays warm or shows an error, book a technician.
What does the E1 error mean on my Hisense washing machine?
Hisense codes vary between models, so go by the error code table in the manual for yours rather than a list online. Many codes relate to the water supply or draining, so check the tap is open and the hoses aren't kinked, then switch off at the wall for a few minutes and try again. If the code comes back, photograph it and book a technician.
Why is my Hisense washing machine not spinning?
Most often it's water it can't drain or a load it can't balance. Clean the pump filter at the bottom front, check the drain hose isn't kinked, spread the load out and run a spin-only programme. If it still won't spin with a balanced load and an empty drum, see our guide to a washing machine not spinning.
Is it worth repairing a Hisense chest freezer?
Usually, if the fault is a thermostat, a relay, a seal or the wiring. If the gas has leaked out or the compressor has failed, the technician gives you the price so you can compare it with a new freezer.
Are you a Hisense service centre?
