AEG front loaders share the common front-loader faults: a blocked pump filter or failed drain pump, a door lock, a heater, an inlet valve and the door seal. AEG dishwashers and ovens
Built-in AEG dishwashers usually need a drain pump, an inlet valve, a heater or a door seal, and many faults start with a dirty filter. AEG built-in ovens come down to elements, fan motors, temperature sensors, door seals and, on some models, the cooling fan that protects the controls. How do I reset my AEG washing machine?
Switch it off with its on/off button, then at the wall for a few minutes, and on again. If there's water in the drum, run drain or spin first. That clears most temporary faults. If the same error code returns, write it down, check your manual and book a technician.
How do I force my AEG dishwasher to drain?
Cancel the programme first, as your manual describes: on many models you press and hold a button until the machine resets and pumps out. If it still won't drain, switch off at the wall, sponge the water out and clean the filter in the base. See dishwasher repairs for the next checks.
Why won't my AEG washing machine turn on?
Check the plug point and the DB board, and that the machine's own on/off button is pressed. If the display stays dark, a fuse, the door lock or the control board may have failed, sometimes after a power surge. If it lights up but won't start, look for a child lock or a door that isn't shut. There's no set number: it depends on the model, how often it runs and how it's looked after. The parts that usually wear, like pumps, door locks, seals and belts, can be replaced. A big part on an old machine is the case to compare with a new one: try our repair or replace check.
